In the heart of a prestigious wine region, the Chateau la Piolette vineyards, located on the slopes of the right bank of the Garonne river in the canton of Saint Macaire (50km south of Bordeaux), enjoy ideal exposure giving rise to wines of great quality.

Chateau la Piolette and its 18 hectares of vines is a family concern, owned and managed today by Alain Peyre.

Alongside the wine business, Alain's wife, Dominique, has developed wine tourism by creating three self-catering cottages (Gîte de France), a parking area for camping-cars and a picnic area with spectacular views over the vines and surrounding countryside. Here you can chat with the winegrowers while enjoying Chateau la Piolette wines and sampling Dominique's secret red and white wine jam.

Dominique and Alain will be pleased to welcome you. They will share with you their passion, help you rediscover the real world of Bordeaux wines, as opposed to standardised wines, and help you experience the scents and sensations that are to be shared and appreciated.
